Born and raised in Panama City, Republic of Panama, Aleyda came to the United States when her father was appointed Consul General of Panama in Baltimore, Maryland. He was also the Official Representative of the Tourism Bureau of Panama for the Eastern United States, as well as Attache to the Embassy of Panama in Washington, D.C. With said unique exposure to the international diplomatic community, Aleyda grew to understand the meaning of professionalism, diplomacy and multi-cultural success. Aleyda's higher education in the United States was focused extensively in the field of special education as a professional, with emphasis in early childhood education. For over 10 years as an educator, she also served the communities she taught in, as an elementary school Principal in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Santa Barbara & Malibu, California.
