"I've lived with computers and technology longer than I've lived without them," says Steve. Indeed, computer technology took hold in his life at an early age, having programmed his first computer in 1982. He jokes, "The phone I now carry in my pocket now has the power and capacity equal to 1,048,576 of those old computers. We have come a long way, but just think of the possibilities for the future. It is a very exciting time."

The Technology Revolution

It is a well know mantra: Those who give themselves a technological advantage excel in the today's real estate business world. The rest fall behind. As important as technology is to our processes and practices, it is also one of the most misunderstood concepts of our business. That is where Windermere's suite of technology tools comes in, help owners and their agents leverage technology to an obvious advantage over the competition, while advancing our brand as the premier real estate company in our region.

Business Philosophy and Working Style

Technology for the sake of technology is foolhardy. Steve's approach is that of a real estate agent and examines every new technology with an eye toward agent productivity, support, and usefulness. Technologies implemented must serve unique purposes and free agents to focus other areas of their business. The Windermere Technology tools we offer are designed to do the work previously by done fully-staffed departments, yet operate continuously, around the clock, all year long. Backed up by our One Byte At A Time technology training classes, Steve presents and teaches our tools to agents in an easy to understand, no-nonsense way to help each individual maximize our tool set to for greatest impact and exposure. Steve's goal is to give each agent a definitive and customizable advantage in their individual markets. We find this blend of tools, training, and support helps owners recruit and retain the best agents in the business.

Qualifications and Training

Steve has a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University with only a minor in Computer Technology. His penchant technology didn't take him to Silicon Valley, but into show business as a designer, manager, director, and technician for some of the world's top shows and entertainers. Ultimately landing in Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World, Steve continued to maximize technology for stage, convention, film, and television. It is during this fifteen year period Steve honed his skills of using technology to solve problems, make work easier, and ultimately put on a better show. In 2005, he began a business in real estate and has never looked back. "Like every show I've ever worked, each day in real estate challenges me with a unique set of problems to over come. I love using technology and solving these issues by making our jobs less time consuming, more productive and more gratifying."
